Application FAQs
What happens at PulsePoint Data Labs?
At PulsePoint Data Labs, we help new startups and early-stage businesses in the field of health data and analytics by providing resources like platform access, commercial insights, business skills, legal counsel, and network connections. We work with them individually and as a group, to shape and refine their offering, establish their pitch and fine-tune their business plan.
How much time will you spend with each startup?
It depends on the needs of the startup. We’ll determine exact needs during the application interview. But we also know that things change in early stage development, so we’ll reassess resourcing as needs change.
Whom will we interact with?
You’ll work with the PulsePoint executive and data science teams and other relevant individual providers. You’ll also get access to PulsePoint’s data platform for experimentation.
How do I know you won't steal my idea?
We make an informal commitment to secrecy on our application form.
I have an idea but not a company. Can I apply?
Yes. Solo founders can apply, although we strongly believe that one-person startups are tough and you're more likely to succeed with a cofounder and some structure.
I have a great idea for a startup, but I'm not technical. Will you help me? We will help direct and strengthen what you have, but won’t supply the skills to build the product. You have to do that yourself.
When are applications due?
We take applications on a rolling basis. So different teams will start at the Data Lab at different times, but we’ll have no more than six teams at any given time.
