This opt out tool will set an opt out cookie or “flag” that will, effectively, tell us not to use your data for the above mentioned purposes.

Keep in mind that:

It does mean that the company or companies from which you opt out will no longer show ads that have been tailored to your interests. You may still see ads served by PulsePoint but they will not be targeted based on your Personal Information/Data.
